On 06-25-15 around 10:59 PM Corning Police Officers conducted a Probation search on Daniel Katleba who was walking on Solano St near Sixth St. Daniel had a fixed blade knife hanging on a necklace concealed under his shirt. He was arrested for a violation of 21310 PC - Carrying a concealed dirk or dagger.
It is important to remember when carrying edged weapons in public, they must be visible or not readily accessible for use.
For example: A folding pocket knife in the closed position inside your pocket is OK. A folding knife left open or a fixed blade knife concealed upon one's person that is accessible for quick use is a crime.
